New ‘Fortnite’ Rippley Vs Sludge Challenges Are Live — Here’s How To Solve Them

The new Rippley vs Sludge challenges are now live in Fortnite. Here's how to solve them.

Epic Games has released a bunch of new challenges this morning as something of a surprise. Normally, challenges go live on Thursday mornings but Epic has thrown us a curveball this Wednesday.

The first batch of challenges is the Rippley Vs Sludge mission bundle. By completing these challenges you can get a third Purple-themed variant of this skin. The challenges were released alongside the v11.40 update.

Here are all the challenges, though many will be locked, requiring you to complete early challenges to reach later ones. It’s a very bad way of releasing challenges and I hope against hope that Epic stops this practice next season and allows players to tackle challenges in any order and all at the same time.

Here are the challenges:

  • Reach Battle Pass Tier 50 (50)
  • Complete ‘Rippley Vs. Sludge’ Mission Objectives (9)
  • Earn Gold Scavenger Medals by searching chests, llamas, or supply drops (3)
  • Achieve AR Specialist Accolades in different matches (3)
  • Land in a Named Location in different matches (3)
  • Deal any damage with a placed Trap to an opponent (1)
  • Destroy SLURP Barrels, SLURP Trucks, or SLURP Silos (10)
  • Swim 50m in under 5s (1)
  • Visit Lazy Lake and Slurpy Swamp in the same match while riding in a Motorboat (1)
  • Eliminations at Risky Reels, Fort Crumpet, or Hydro 16 (5)
  • Search the hidden gnome found in between Logjam Woodworks, a wooden shack, and a bucket tree (1)
  • Catch a fish with a Fishing Rod, a Harpoon Gun, and an Explosive Weapon (1)

    • Wrap these up and you’ll unlock the following skin style:

    You’ll also get 52,000 XP for each challenge completed. What a strange season this is, but I guess at least we all have time to level up as much as possible.
